There’s something about Shute Park that’s very calming. That’s why those who have already visited the park keep coming back.
Like most parks in Hillsboro, you need to keep your dog on a leash when you visit Shute Park. Moreover, pets cannot go to wetlands, ponds, and streams.
You also have to bring poop bags to clean up after your pet. Bring bottled water and a bowl, too.
You’ll find this 13-acre community park next to the city library, near the Community Senior Center, and the Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center.
Park amenities include picnic shelters and picnic areas, a performance stage, a pickleball court, and an open lawn.
You can also have barbecues on-site, and there are plenty of benches to sit on if you need to rest. Parking and restrooms are also available at the park.
Visit the park’s website for rental rates and event schedules.
