A large part of Old Shepard Park has athletic fields that you can reserve ahead of time.
Plano locals love coming back to the park’s hiking and biking trails. And since there are plenty of shaded areas at the park, a lot come back to relax and get a breath of fresh air.
Don’t worry if you’re traveling with kids because Old Shepard Park also has a playground.
There are also restrooms on-site, and parking is available nearby.
Help preserve the park’s beauty by picking up after your pets. There are bins around the park where you can throw used poop bags.
Bring your dog’s essentials, too, like his water bowl, his leash, a first-aid kit, and a bit of food.
