You’ll find Church Hill Dog Park on the eastern lower terrace of Chimborazo Park. It features separate areas for big and small dogs.
Fur parents like you need to watch your dog closely while at the park. You also need to clean up after your pet. Pack dog park essentials like poop bags in case the park runs out. There are waste bins around the park where you can dispose of used bags.
You need to bring your dog’s bowl and plenty of water as well to prevent doggie dehydration.
Apart from coming to Church Hill Dog Park, you can also check out the other amenities available at Chimborazo Park. It’s home to one of Richmond’s most unique statues: a miniature of the Statue of Liberty.
The park’s eastern edge can also be rented for small meetings and events. Don’t miss a chance to bring your children to the Chimborazo Playground as well. It’s just a block from the park and was recently renovated to include more play equipment and a community garden.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Visit the park’s website for important announcements and to learn more about renting park amenities.
