Most of Benicia State Recreation Area includes marsh, grassy hillsides, and rocky beaches.
This spacious and beautiful Benicia park is along the narrowest portion of the Carquinez Strait.
It features more than 2 miles of road and bike paths best for biking, running, walking, and roller skating.
Dogs are welcome at Benicia State Recreation Area but must be on a leash. You also need to make sure you clean up after your pet.
Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in designated waste bins around the park.
Apart from the trails, the park also has picnic areas, a beach area, a vista point, and drinking water.
Nature and wildlife viewing is also available on-site. You’ll also find parking spaces and clean restrooms at the park.
