Asante Community Park is open from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M. Locals frequent this park to relax in the ramadas or barbecue with friends.
Facilities on-site include lighted ball fields, two playground units, and walking paths with exercise stations.
This Surprise, Arizona park is also home to a lighted World War II Memorial.
Dogs are welcome on-site, but they have to be on a leash. You also need to make sure you clean up after your pet. Pack poop bags, pick up waste promptly, and dispose of used ones in waste bins around the park.
Remember to bring plenty of water and your dog’s bowl to prevent dehydration.

The park is absolutely beautiful but it seems 9 out of 10 times I take my dog for a walk there are rude,selfish dog owners who continue to have their dogs off leash. Having been attacked by a huge Great Dane I am completely terrified of off leash dogs. It happens so frequently at Asante Park. I don’t even think I can take my pup there anymore.Just today a woman had a large black dog running all thru the grassy area with no leash! I had to cut my dogs walk short cause I was so afraid for me and my pup. As her dog approached me I advised her if it came any closer it was going to get pepper sprayed,(which a Surprise Animal Control officer told me was in my right to do so if a dog is unleashed). She then proceeded to just hold the dog by its collar! I was able to get a photo after I secured my pup in the car but I guess that does me no good.
Any suggestions?
