1) Butcher Dog Park

Location: 1782 Lancaster Dr, San Jose, California, United States, 95124

Dedicated patrons and park staff work hard to ensure Butcher Dog Park remains clean and well-maintained. This dedication is one of the reasons why locals and tourists keep coming back.

Apart from the excellent maintenance, this off-leash San Jose dog park has excellent amenities, too.

There’s high ornamental fencing around the perimeter and separate areas for big and small dogs. The park also has a walkway where your dog can take a stroll. 

Other amenities include a pet fountain, a Mutt Mitt dispenser, and a waste bin. There’s a restroom on-site, too.

2) Discovery Dog Park

Location: 200 Delmas Ave. San Jose, CA 95110

You’ll find Discovery Dog Park on the corner of Park Avenue and Delmas Avenue. It’s a free-standing park measuring over 17,000 square feet. 

Its amenities include a double-gated entrance, security lighting, and tables and benches. This off-leash San Jose dog park also offers free poop bags so you can easily clean up after your pet. 

The drinking fountains have dog bowls, too, which are regularly clean to ensure your pet is drinking clean water all the time. 

There are tables and benches where you can sit and relax as well.

3) Miyuki Dog Park

Location: Autotech Wy. & Miyuki Dr. San Jose, CA 95119

Miyuki Dog Park has been recently renovated to include new security measures like upgraded security fencing and expanded metal panels on the north and east sides of the park. 

There’s a small dirt area where your fur baby can play while you relax and keep watch by the benches. 

The park has no separate enclosure for big and small dogs, so watch over your pooch closely. 

Pooper-scoopers are available on-site so that you can clean up after your pet. Make sure you bring a bottle of water and your dog’s bowl because there are no water fountains at the park.

4) Jeffrey Fontana Dog Park

Location: 1241 Golden Oak Wy. San Jose, CA 95120

Jeffrey Fontana Dog Park is open from sunrise until an hour before sunset. In addition, the park has an exercise course and a playground.

5) Raleigh Linear Dog Park

Location: Raleigh Rd. San Jose, CA 95123

Raleigh Linear Dog Park is inside the 5-acre Raleigh Linear Park. It’s a fenced dog park featuring dissolved granite and artificial turf.

6) Ryland Dog Park

Location: 190 Ryland St. San Jose, CA 95110

You’ll find Ryland Dog Park along North San Pedro Street tucked under a bridge. It’s a great place to cool down during hot days.

The dog park offers plenty of shade, but don’t forget to bring a bottle of water and your dog’s bowl to help keep him cool and hydrated. 

Although this off-leash San Jose dog park is small, there’s still a separate area for big and small dogs.

7) Saratoga Creek Dog Park

Location: Lawrence Expy. San Jose, CA 95129

There’s no separate area for big and small dogs at Saratoga Creek Dog Park, but those who have been there say most of the park-goers are attentive and disciplined fur parents.

This off-leash San Jose dog park is also very easy to access. It’s located along Doyle Road and Lassen Avenue.

Fur parents who frequent Selma Olinder Dog Park say the park is beautiful and spacious. 

It is designed to accommodate up to 30 dogs at a time with a separate area for big and small dogs.

The park also has a double-gated entry and well-maintained fencing. There are benches where you can relax and plenty of trees if you’re looking for shade. 

There’s a parking area on-site, too, if you’re traveling by car. 

9) Watson Dog Park

Location: Jackson Ave. & 22nd St. San Jose, CA 95116

After running around Watson Dog Park with your dog, you can enjoy barbecuing with your friends at the picnic area.

There are picnic areas at this off-leash San Jose dog park; make sure you come early because the tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Other amenities at Watson Dog Park include separate areas for big and small dogs, a playground, and two basketball courts.

Pooper-scoopers are available at the park, too, so you can easily clean up after your pet. 

10) Welch Dog Park

Location: Clarice Dr. & Huran Dr. San Jose, CA 95122

Much like Watson Dog Park, Welch Dog Park also has picnic areas where you can relax after watching over your dog. 

What sets this off-leash dog park apart from the rest on this list is the spacious double gate area where you can remove your dog’s leash before you enter the park. 

Each side of the separate big and dog area also has its water fountain and garbage can, making drinking and cleaning easier. 

The park has also been renovated to include fresh grass and a playground.
