One thing that makes Willamette Park and Natural Area extremely popular with local park-goers is its designated off-leash areas.
Dogs are only required to be on a leash in the picnic shelter, the playground, and the soccer field. That means most of the 287-acre space at this Corvallis, Oregon park is open for your dog to explore leash-free.
You can help keep the park in excellent shape by cleaning up after your pet. Pick up poop promptly and throw away used bags in the designated waste bins.
Besides the vast off-leash area, Willamette Park and Natural Area is also known for its open meadows, community garden, and natural areas. The river view from the park is also breathtaking.
You’ll also find a challenging frisbee golf course that winds through the park. It’s very popular with beginners and enthusiasts.
The park also has several trails, which are great for hiking, jogging, and walking. Some of the trails lead to the river if you want to go river fishing. There is a play structure for kids and two soccer fields as well. Restrooms are also available on-site.
Some parts of the park can be reserved for parties, events, or tournaments. Check the park’s website for announcements and details about booking the park.
