Space isn’t a problem at Waymond Morris Park, as it has 52 acres of lush greens equipped with well-appointed amenities.
There is no shortage of activities at this Owensboro park as well. It has a 7-acre lake where you can spend hours fishing. Boats are not allowed in the lake, and you need to have a license before you start fishing.
You’ll also find four lighted football fields and a football complex home to the Owensboro-Daviess County Youth Football League. Don’t miss a chance to explore the 1.5-mile walking trail on-site as well.
If you’re visiting the park with your fur baby, you have to keep him on a leash. You need to make sure you clean up after your pet, too. Throw away used poop bags in designated waste receptacles.
There’s a centralized concession and restroom building at Waymond Morris Park. A 290-car parking area is also available. Visit the park’s website for important announcements.
