Tricentennial Park is home to three museums: Battlefield Memorial Park and Savannah History Museum, Georgia State Railroad Museum, and Savannah Children’s Museum.
It offers visitors a chance to learn about three centuries’ worth of history—that’s where the park got its name.
You’ll find the park across the street from the Visitor’s Center along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
You can start your day by checking out the Savannah History Museum. It’s where you’ll find military artifacts, a cotton gin, and other interesting objects from 1733.
Don’t miss a chance to take your kids to the Savannah Children’s Museum. Here you’ll find an exploration station, a giant maze, a cozy reading nook, and a beautiful sensory garden.
You can also bring your dog to the park, but they must be on a leash. Bring poop bags, so you can clean up after your dog. You can dispose of used poop bags in waste bins around the park.
Don’t forget to pack your dog’s bowl and plenty of water as well.
Visit the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
