In Ann Arbor, Michigan, dog parks are designed to make Fido’s playtime and exercise safe and fun, which is why locals love stopping by Swift Run Dog Park.
It has 10 acres of grassy fields with high perimeter fencing. There are separate spaces for big and small dogs, which are secured by double entry and exit control gates.
Fur parents who have been to Swift Run Dog Park say the trails, landscaping, and site benches are regularly mowed and well-maintained.
You don’t have to worry about cleaning up after your pet, too. There are dog waste disposal stations at the park.
Trash receptacles are all over the park, too, so it will be easy to throw away used poop bags.
However, water is not available on-site, so you need to bring a bottle for you and your dog.
The park is open from dawn to dusk and you need an annual off-leash dog permit, especially if you’re visiting a designated off-leash area.
Only two dogs per handler are allowed at a time. You are also discouraged to conduct training inside the dog park.
A list of the rules is posted at the dog park. You can also check out frequently asked questions on the park’s official website.
