Want to go camping this weekend? Take a trip to the Starrigavan Campground, also known as the Starrigavan Recreation Area.
You’ll find it seven miles north of Sitka at the end of Halibut Point Road.
Camping and fishing are only some of the activities you can enjoy on-site.
There are also hiking trails where you can walk with family and friends. You can also go biking, and bird and wildlife viewing on-site.
If you’re planning to bring your dog, make sure he’s wearing a leash. Clean up after your dog as well. There are waste bins around the park where you can dispose of used poop bags.
