You’ll find Sir William’s Dog Run on an acre of land in the heart of Fort Tryon Park. It’s considered one of the largest public dog runs in Manhattan, with its spacious separate areas for big and small dogs with their own entrances.
If you want to enjoy long walks with your dog, you can check out the rest of Fort Tryon Park. It features 8 miles of pathways with excellent views of the Hudson River and the Palisades. Dogs need to be on a leash while walking down the paths.
The park has become a popular destination for avid walkers and runners. It has several features that let you practice on-leash canine parkour. You can even run with your dog around the park.
Just make sure you clean up after your pet. You need to pack poop bags and dispose of used ones in the trash cans around the park. Bring plenty of water and your dog’s bowl as well.
Check out the park’s website for more information about local events and important announcements.
