Sims Lake Park is situated along Suwanee Dam Road. It’s considered one of the city’s most popular parks as it’s close to several good neighborhoods and is equipped with excellent amenities.
There’s a 7-acre lake with a dock on-site and a 1.2-mile trail where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll.
The park also has a pavilion on a first-come, first-serve basis. There’s also a partially covered playground on-site where kids can make new friends.
Don’t miss a chance to check out the public art at Sims Lake Park. You can bring your dog to Sims Lake Park, but you have to ensure he’s wearing a leash.
You also need to clean up after your pet. Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the waste bins around the park.
Pack your dog’s bowl and plenty of water, especially if you’re planning to stroll along the trail on-site.
Visit the park’s website for more information about local events.
