Pecos Park is home to the Pecos Community Center, which often serves as the venue for classes, summer camp, and other programs.
There’s also an off-leash dog park on-site called RJ Dog Park. It’s located on the east of Pecos Park and is open from 5:30 A.M. to 11 P.M.
You’ll find separate areas for big and small dogs. There’s also a 2-acre grassy area where your dog can play with other canines.
You can help keep the park clean by picking up after your dog. Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in designated waste bins.
Water is also available on-site. Don’t forget to bring your dog’s bowl.
RJ Dog Park was named in honor of the K-9 service dog “RJ,” who perished in the line of duty.
Other amenities at Pecos Park include ball fields, a skate plaza, a playground, a splash pad, a paved walking path, and a swimming pool.
The park’s website has everything you need to know about local events.
