King Commons Park is both beautiful and functional.
It doesn’t only serve as a local destination, it’s also a part of a stormwater retention project that helps mitigate flooding in the area.
The park was completed in 2018, so it’s relatively new. It has 3 acres of recreational space located in the heart of downtown Johnson City.
You can explore walking paths with your dog, and there is plenty of space to cool down and relax.
King Commons Park also has an amphitheater and a playground.
The park is a very peaceful place to unwind after a day’s work.
Many locals who have been to the park say it has become part of their routine to come and visit.
You can check out the park’s website for more details about the area’s history.
