If you’re into walking, hiking, and exploring, you’ll love visiting Jacob’s Nature Park.
It’s located in Sinking Creek and is well-known to be a dedication to the memory of Jacob Luis Francisco who passed away from an E. coli infection that he contracted from an unknown source.
The park helps raise awareness about E. coli. You might even come across local survivors who are willing to share their stories.
Jacob’s Nature Park has numerous hiking trails and a wetland area.
You’ll find numerous wildlife like salamanders, frogs, and several species of birds at the park, too.
If you want some quiet time, you can stop by the native tree arboretum on-site.
Dogs are welcome at the park, but you have to keep them on a leash.
You also have to make sure that you pick up after your fur baby, so you can do your part in keeping the park clean.
Check out the park’s layout on their website.
