Highland Dog Park, also known as the Highland Off-Leash Dog Park, is a dedicated area for dogs at Highland Park. You’ll find it along Washington Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia.
This 1-acre dog park is securely fenced and equipped with a separate enclosure for small dogs and puppies. Locals love coming here, especially since not very many dog parks offer a separate area for young canines.
Mutt Mitt dog bag stations are available on-site, so you can clean up after your dog. However, you can still bring your own supply in case the park runs out. Make sure you dispose of used bags in the waste bins around the park.
If you plan to stay a while at Highland Dog Park, make sure you bring plenty of water and your dog’s bowl.
You can also check out the rest of Highland Park. It’s home to a playground, a ball diamond, a disc golf course, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a skateboarding area.
Picnic tables are also available on-site, as well as a hilly open greenspace. The park’s clean restrooms are closed from November to April for winterization.
Check out the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
