Glendale Open Space Trail is a very popular hiking trail in Castle Rock. It’s close to other hiking areas like the trails at Littleton.
However, this Colorado destination isn’t only famous for its trails. Frequent park-goers also keep coming back for the 17-acre off-leash dog park on-site.
You’ll find it southwest of the main trailhead. You don’t have to limit yourself to the off-leash space.
You can also explore the rest of the Glendale Open Space Trail with your dog, but you have to keep him on a leash in these areas.
Just make sure you clean up after your pet to help keep the park well-maintained for other fur parents like you.
There are waste bins in the off-leash areas and bear-proof trash cans along the trails where you can dispose of used poop bags.
Watch your step as well, and keep a close watch on your pet. Some cacti and rocks may injure your fur baby if you’re not careful.
Bring sunscreen for yourself, plenty of water for you and Fido, and a first-aid kit in case of emergency.
Visit the park’s website for important announcements about the trail.
