Franklin locals love stopping by the Eastern Flank Battlefield Park because there’s really nothing like exploring historic destinations with your fur baby.
Apart from getting your daily dose of exercise, you learn a few new things too.
The park was the former site of the Battle of Franklin and it was formerly the home of the Franklin Country Club and Golf Course.
Now, it’s a 110-acre park that has indoor and outdoor event spaces that visitors can rent for meetings, weddings, and other gatherings.
The people behind the renovation and restoration of Eastern Flank Battlefield Park did not only make sure they preserved the park’s history.
They also saw that they bring the area back to its natural state through ecological recovery.
Dogs are very much welcome in this Tennessee park, but they have to be on a leash.
You can explore the walking and historic interpreted trails, but make sure you pick up after your pet.
There are restrooms at the park, too, if you need to wash up.
Check out the park’s website if you want to know more about their events space.
