Dan Foley Park is one of the principal parks in the GVRD system.
It’s home to the Foley Cultural Center and a beautiful fishing lake. You can go boating and kayaking on the lake, but you have to apply for a permit first.
Just visit the park’s website for more details about the application process.
There’s also a natural grass baseball field and soccer/softball field.
Dan Foley Park also has a nature trail that goes around Lake Chabot.
There’s also children’s play equipment, a basketball court, and open turf play areas on-site.
If you’re visiting the park with your dog, make sure he’s wearing a leash.
Make sure you also clean up after your dog. Bring poop bags and throw away used ones in trash cans around the park.
Don’t forget to bring plenty of water and your dog’s bowl if you plan to stay a while at the park.
Street parking and clean restrooms are available.
