You’ll find Cedar River Trail Park at the mouth of the Cedar River, right where it flows north into Lake Washington.
The picnic areas at this 24-acre Renton, Washington park are very close to the water. The park also has a non-motorized boat launch.
One of the reasons locals keep coming back to this park is its location. It’s an excellent place to watch the annual salmon migration into the Cedar River watershed.
The park is also kid- and dog-friendly. In addition, there are trails you can check out with your child and your fur baby.
There are pieces of play equipment on-site as well. Apart from that, Cedar River Trail Park is one of the best spots in the city to go birdwatching.
Just make sure you help keep the park clean. For example, clean up after your dog.
Don’t leave used poop bags lying around at the park. There are several waste bins where you can dispose of used bags.
Bring enough supply of water as well for you and your pet.
Picnic facilities are available on-site, so you can relax before heading home. Clean restrooms are also available.
Check out the park’s website for updates about local events.
