Cary Dog Park at Godbold Park is a 1-acre off-leash area. You’ll find it near the corner of Maynard and Chapel Hill Road.
Most Cary dog parks are enclosed in five-foot-high chain link fences and an electronic gate.
The separate areas on-site for big and small dogs are lighted. The dog park’s ground is covered in wood chips.
There are also water stations where you can refill your dog’s bowl and several benches where you can rest before heading home.
You’ll also find pet cleanup areas on-site, but you can bring your own supply in case the park runs out. You can dispose of used bags in the trash cans around the park.
The dog park is open from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M. It’s closed every second Wednesday of the month from 7 A.M. to 1 P.M. for maintenance.
Visit the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
