Carroll Creek Park is a unique park in Frederick, Maryland.
It started as a flood control project in the late 1970s. Today, it has beautiful pedestrian bridges, water features, planters with shade trees, and an amphitheater for outdoor performances.
Public art has been incorporated into the park as well. You’ll find it on the Iron Bridge and plenty of other spots around the park.
Dogs are allowed at Carroll Creek Park but must be on a leash. You need to bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the trash cans around the park.
There are plenty of specialty shops, outdoor dining, and breweries in the area that you can also visit.
Check out the park’s website for more information about local events.
