The attractions and amenities at Avery Park and Natural Area make it one of the most popular parks in Corvallis.
It has breathtaking natural areas and well-appointed sports fields. You’ll also find picnic shelters that you can reserve for parties and events. Check out the park’s website for the rates.
Avery Park and Natural Area also has several playgrounds. It also has a mile-long jogging and walking trail along the riparian area Marys River.
Another notable attraction at this 75-acre park is the Rose Garden, which has over 200 varieties of roses. The best time to visit is from May to October when the roses bloom. You also need to check out the Rhododendron garden on-site.
Regional horseshoe tournaments happen every year at the park’s extensive horseshoe pit area.
You may bring your dog to the park, but they must be on a leash. You also need to clean up after your fur baby. Always throw away used poop bags in the designated bins. Don’t let your dog out of your sight, too.
