Fun Dog Park Activities Your Fur Baby Will Surely Love

The best way to make the most out of your visit to the dog park is to make sure that your precious furbaby is having a blast the whole time.

The following dog park activities may seem too simple, but they will, without a doubt, keep your pooch smiling throughout your visit.

1) Play fetch

Although this activity is by far the most common thing to do when visiting a spacious dog park, you can’t argue with the massive grin of your dog when you do this with them.

However, other canines may not understand or know how the game goes. In these cases, giving your dog treats is the key.

2) Bikejoring

If you have more than one large dog breed, they would surely enjoy going bikejoring with you around the park.

It’s an excellent way of letting your dog run as much as they want to, as they pull you along on your bike. All you have to do is balance your bike as you sit back and relax while your dogs take you out for a ride.

Keep in mind, though, that you can’t do this activity with small breeds like Chihuahuas.

3) Running together

It’s a very common activity, but running together around the park will surely get your dog pumped up.

By now, it is apparent that dogs love running around, especially when you’re accompanying them.

So, make sure that you keep your furry companion leashed as you go on your run to avoid incidents. Also, be sure to carry necessities like water and poop bags as well.

4) Use the playground in the park

It is common for dog parks to have playgrounds for canines to play around with, much like how any human park has playgrounds made for children.

Check out the playground, if there is one, and see which of the structures your pooch loves to play around the most.

Your dog may be reluctant at first to try out the play structures, especially since they don’t know how to use them yet, so be sure to guide them along the way.

5) Play ball

Giving a dog a ball is like giving a cat some catnips—they go wild with excitement as they play around the thing with unending enthusiasm.

You can try kicking a ball and watch as your precious pup runs after it while smiling from ear to ear. You can also relay with your pooch or move the ball around and watch them try their hardest to take the toy away from you.

Just be mindful of other dogs in the vicinity to avoid any fights.

6) Pop some bubbles

All you have to do is blow some bubbles their way, and you can already enjoy the sight of your pooch chasing after the floating foam.

However, you have to make sure that the soap won’t get in their eyes to avoid any eye complications from happening.

All in all

While your pooch will surely love these dog park activities, they hold no meaning if you’re not there to enjoy those activities with them.

Above all else, make sure to keep your four-legged treasure away from anything that could be bad for their health. Make safety your priority.
