Avondale Park is a 36-acre park along 5th Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama.
It’s just a stone’s throw away from Avondale Library and is home to a beautiful rose garden.
The park is also a popular spot for local events. There’s a WPA-era outdoor amphitheater on-site often used for musical events and theater performances.
Some of the other things you’ll find at the park include a 2,400-square-foot renovated villa and a duck pond.
You can also pass the time playing tennis and baseball at the courts and fields on-site.
If you want to visit the park with your dog, make sure he’s wearing a leash. You must also clean up after your dog.
Bring your own supply of poop bags and dispose of used ones in the trash cans around the park.
Pack your dog’s bowl and plenty of water as well.
The park is open from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M. Visit the park’s website for important announcements.
