You’ll find Wilson Park right in the heart of the city. It offers more than 20 acres of space and is considered one of the city’s oldest parks.
It’s home to a beautiful garden dotted with trees. There’s also a spring-fed pond on-site and an art installation by local artist Frank Williams called the “Castle.”
You’ll also find the Wilson Park Pool on-site, which is open every year from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Other amenities available on-site include a basketball court, a playground, a softball field, and a sand volleyball court.
There are also six tennis courts on-site as well as a gazebo and a greenhouse.
If you plan to bring your dog with you, make sure he’s wearing a leash. You also need to pack dog park essentials with you like poop bags, your dog’s bowl, and plenty of water.
Wilson Park also has picnic areas and clean restrooms. Visit the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
