The Whale Park is one of Sitka’s most popular destinations.
The park’s covered viewing shelters with fixed binoculars will allow you to see humpback whales, harbor seals, and sea lions.
Those who have been there say you would be able to see whales any time, but it’s best to visit between September and January.
Dogs are welcome on-site, but they must be on a leash. You also need to clean up after your pet. Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the waste bins around the park.
Whale Park also has picnic facilities and clean restrooms. You can visit the park’s website for more information about local events and important announcements.
