Dog owners used to bring their fur babes to an old baseball field for exercise and play.

Now, thanks to the establishment of Valley of the Moon Dog Park, dog lovers, and their beloved pets have their own special place where they can freely have fun and socialize.

The improvements to the off-leash space include the expansion of the parking areas and pavilions, as well as the installation of lighting.

There’s even a rain garden now to improve the overall look of the park.

Make sure you bring your own supply of poop bags, so you can help keep the park clean. Dispose of used poop bags only in the designated waste bins around the park.

Valley of the Moon Park is also home to an excellent playground, which is one of the biggest in Anchorage. Don’t miss a chance to check it out with your kids.
