The “Barklands” has separate one-acre areas for big and small dogs. In addition, there’s another separate space for dogs that need some “quiet time.”
When you visit the park, you’ll find signages that will indicate which areas are open.
Park authorities find it necessary to rotate the use of the dog runs to keep the turf in excellent shape.
There’s a water fountain at the dog park as well, but it’s turned off during winter to prevent the pipes from freezing.
Some of the other things you can do at Beckley Creek Park include biking, fishing, and sightseeing.
Walking is another popular pastime at this Louisville park. Apart from that, you can also enjoy snacks and drinks at the park’s picnic area.
There’s also a playground on-site where you can let your children have fun.
You’ll find this traditional urban park along Beckley Creek Parkway. Check out the park’s website for important updates.
