South Run Dog Park is only one of the many outdoor recreation amenities available at the South Run Recreation Center.

It offers plenty of space for dogs to run, exercise, and make new canine friends. Plenty of trees in the park offer shade, which is great if you want to have some quiet time with your dog.

You need to bring your dog’s bowl and your own supply of water when you visit. You also need to pack poop bags, so you can clean up after your dog. There are trash cans around the park where you can dispose of used bags.

The South Run Dog Park surface is mostly gravel, which is great during winter and rainy months. there’s a section of grass near where the trees are. You’ll also find walking trails around the park.

There are also climbing features and a large flat rock that dogs can climb. Just make sure you keep a close watch on your dog to prevent accidents.
