The beautiful trails at Sawyer Park lead to must-see local destinations like the Deschutes River Trail.
The park is also close to the Rivers Edge golf course and has connections to First Street Rapids Park and Archie Briggs Natural Area.
You’ll find a mixture of pine and juniper at Sawyer Park. In addition, it’s an excellent location for birdwatching as it’s a popular viewing site for migratory birds.
It’s included on the Oregon Cascade Birding Tour route because of over 100 species of birds spotted in the area.
Some of the other things you can do at the park include bait and fly fishing.
You can also picnic on-site or enjoy a walk with your dogs on the breathtaking trails.
