Sawgrass Lake Park offers 400 acres of space set amidst some of the most beautiful maple swamps on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
It’s home to a mile-long boardwalk and a half-mile-long dirt trail where you can enjoy relaxing strolls while bird-watching. You’ll also enjoy looking at the butterflies, plants, and animals in their natural habitat.
There’s also an observation tower on-site and a picnic shelter with grilling facilities.
You can also bring your dog to the park, but they’re not allowed on the boardwalk and in the nature center. They also need to wear a leash, and you need to make sure you clean up after them.
Don’t forget to pack poop bags and other dog park essentials like your dog’s bowl and plenty of water.
Parking and clean restrooms are available on-site. You can check out the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
