You’ll find Sandy Bottom Bark Park at the corner of Hampton Roads Center Parkway and Big Bethel Road. It’s a simple off-leash dog park, but locals love it because it doesn’t get too crowded even during peak hours.
You’ll find the dog park‘s entrance on the right and a second entrance on Big Bethel Road, just across the shopping center.
Water is available on-site, so you don’t have to worry about Fido getting dehydrated as long as you bring your dog’s bowl.
There’s an obstacle course on-site as well that will keep your dog busy. Before heading home, you can sit and rest your feet on the park benches.
Parking is available on-site but is not exclusive to dog park visitors. Sandy Bottom Bark Park is open from sunrise to sunset except on Christmas and during inclement weather. Check out the park’s website for important announcements.
