It’s free to visit the Northern Tail Dog Park, conveniently located along the northeast edge of the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center parking lot.
The park has two acres of space dedicated for off-leash play. There’s also a fenced 5,600-square-foot area for small dogs.
A 6-foot-tall chain-link fence encloses Northern Tail Dog Park. The park is also landscaped, and there are informative signages around the area.
Poop bags are available at the park. You can throw away used ones at the waste receptacles available on-site.
Although it’s free to enter the park, you need to secure a dog license through Ingham County. You also need to make sure your dog’s vaccination is up-to-date, and he’s at least four months old.
If you don’t know how to go about the licensing process, you can check out this helpful guide.
