Mitchell Park along Mitchell Drive and 9th Street used to be a part of a school campus. When the school closed, the city acquired the site to make it a small haven for residents.

The park is home to a baseball diamond, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and softball fields.

There’s also an off-leash dog park on-site where your fur baby can play freely.

Pack dog park essentials like poop bags, your dog’s leash, plenty of water, and your dog’s bowl before heading to the park.

Besides the dog park, Mitchell Park also has picnic tables, grills, and ramadas. Visit the park’s website for more information about local events.
