Minto-Brown Island Park has 30 acres of lush greens and open space dedicated to dogs.
The off-leash dog park is not fenced, so you have to watch your pet closely while he’s playing and socializing.
There are plenty of trees at the dog park, which provides shade during the warmer months.
You won’t find any water source at the park, so it’s best to bring your water bottle.
Minto-Brown Island Park has over 1,000 acres of space. You can explore the rest of the park with your dog, but he needs to be on a leash.
The park also serves as a wildlife sanctuary. There are observation platforms around the slough where you can watch wetland creatures go about their business.
Some of the other things you can dog at this Salem park include walking, running, and biking. There are beautiful loops you can explore with your dog, too.
You’ll also find a shelter at the park. Check out the park’s website for more details about fees and reservations.
