You’ll find the Meeker Island Dog Park adjacent to the Meeker Island Historic Lock and Dam. It’s just along the river at the bottom of the bluff. You can access it through an entrance along the Mississippi River Boulevard trail.
Locals love it for its beautiful wooded area, trails, and dog beach. There are no fences securing the park, so make sure you keep a close watch on your dog.
You also need to clean up after your fur baby. Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the waste bins around the park. Pack enough water and your dog’s bowl as well to prevent doggy dehydration.
The park is open from 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Visit the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
