The most beautiful part of Idlewild Park is its rose garden. It was established in 1958 and is now home to 200 varieties of roses. Don’t miss a chance to visit the garden during peak season around June, July, and August.
Apart from checking out the rose garden, you can also play baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, and volleyball at the courts on-site.
If you’re visiting the park with your kids, you can let them enjoy themselves at the playground. You can also let them explore the pathways on-site.
Dogs are also welcome at Idlewild Park, but they have to be on a leash. You also need to clean up after your pet. Make sure you throw used poop bags in designated waste receptacles.
After having fun at the ball courts and marveling at the beautiful roses in the garden, you can have barbecues with your friends at the picnic shelter on-site. Visit the park’s website for details about reserving a table.
Restrooms are also available on-site. The park is open from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M.
