Traveling with your dog can be tricky, so facilities like the Halifax County Visitor Center Dog Run are a godsend.
The Halifax County Convention and Visitors Bureau opened this space for free at the visitor center. You can visit any time from sunrise to sunset. You’ll find it off I-95 Exit 173 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
There’s a separate area for big and small dogs. You’ll also find fresh water every day, so your dog’s bowl is all you need to bring. There’s also a cleanup station on-site, which makes cleaning up after your dog a breeze.
You’ll also find waste bins around the park where you can dispose of used poop bags.
If you need to stay a bit longer at Halifax County Visitor Center Dog Run, you can hang out at the picnic tables on-site. You can even get your dog a treat at the visitor center.
The park’s website has everything you need to know about local events and important announcements.
