French Broad River Dog Park is a 1-acre off-leash space with a surface made mostly of mulch and wood chips. It has separate areas for big and small dogs.

Clean water is available on-site, so your dog’s bowl is all you need to bring. Poop bags are also available on-site. You can still bring your own supply of bags and water in case the park runs out.

You can also stroll along the French Broad Park trail system. You can also enjoy a picnic in the park’s open green space.

French Broad River Dog Park is open from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. During winter, it’s open from dawn to dusk.
