Fishing enthusiasts flock to the 170-acre lake at Freeman Lake Park, and they often come home with fishes like Large Mouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Crappie, Rainbow Trout, and more.
Boat rentals are also available on-site, and the kayak docks are also accessible.
This Elizabethtown park is also kid-friendly. There are several well-appointed playgrounds on-site and plenty of room for fun and games.
Dogs are also welcome. You’ll find a dedicated off-leash area for your fur baby, with separate spaces for big and small dogs.
Just make sure you keep an eye on your pet at all times. You also have to clean up after your fur baby by throwing away used poop bags in designated bins.
There are pavilions for rent on-site as well. Check the park’s website for more information about renting park amenities.
You’ll also find a tennis complex with 10 courts, a sand volleyball court, and an 18-hole disc golf course.
Freeman Lake Park is also home to the Lincoln Heritage House, One Room Schoolhouse, and Sarah Bush Johnston Log Cabin.
