Dog Mountain is a beautiful unspoiled haven for you and your fur baby. It’s teeming with lush hiking trails and dog ponds.
Wildflowers grow and bloom around the park during the summer months. Then, when it gets colder, park-goers come to visit so they can try snow-shoeing.
One of the unique things about Dog Mountain is its beautiful Dog Chapel.
There’s a wall in the foyer called the “Remembrance Wall” where you can leave a short message for your fur baby.
It’s a very moving and uplifting experience for fur parents.
After stopping by the chapel, you can explore the trails on-site. Dogs are free to run, play, and even swim without a leash.
The park is set on a 150-acre private mountaintop in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, so you can expect lush greens and breathtaking views.
Stephen Huneck and his wife, Gwen, are the people behind this dog sanctuary. They even turned a barn on-site into a studio space.
You can shop for prints, art pieces, and more through the park’s website.
