Beech Mountain Bark Park gives off a cozy farmhouse vibe. According to dog parents who have visited, one of the best things about it is how it provides a safe environment for dogs to play off-leash.
It was originally built as a community project but has now been kept and maintained as a little haven for canines.
There are two play areas on-site: one for big dogs and another for small dogs. The split rail fence is 56 inches tall and is reinforced with wire mesh.
There are safety zones before you can enter each separate area to ensure dogs don’t wander off.
Everything you and your dog needs, from watering stations to fully equipped waste stations, is available on-site. You’ll also find tables and benches where you can relax before heading home.
Picnic shelters are also available in case you just want to hang out with friends.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, you and your dog can follow the Beech Mountain Bark Park gravel-covered pathway that links to a greenway trail.
You can visit the park’s website for important announcements or donate to the cause and maintenance of the dog park.
