Acacia Park is home to the Acacia Demonstration Gardens. It’s a collaborative effort among the city of Henderson and various local organizations to showcase examples of water-efficient landscaping.
You can check out the park’s website for the schedule of landscaping workshops every spring and fall.
Don’t miss a chance to visit the off-leash dog park at Acacia Park as well. It has a separate space for small dogs, and drinking water is also available.
Make sure you clean up after your pet when you visit the park. Always throw away used poop bags in designated waste bins. The dog park area is closed from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. every Wednesday for daytime irrigation.
Your fur baby needs to be on a leash if you want to explore the rest of Acacia Park with him. There’s a ball field, a basketball court, and multi-purpose fields on-site.
You’ll also find a playground and a splash pad. However, dogs are not allowed to play at the water features.
There are also picnic shelters with tables and barbecue facilities on-site. You can book a spot by visiting the park’s website.
Restrooms are also available on-site.
