One of the best things about A Park Above is the fully-inclusive and accessible playground. In fact, it’s one of the first of its kind in New Mexico.
Your children will love the play and activity areas with perimeter fencing and a particular surfacing.
There are also adaptive swings and wheelchair swings on-site.
Dogs are not allowed in the play zones, but there’s an off-leash dog park on the west side of A Park Above.
It has a separate area for special needs dogs. Water is also available–don’t forget to bring your dog’s bowl.
You also need to bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the trash cans around the park.
The dog park also has benches and shade where you can rest before heading home.
Other on-site amenities include a basketball court, shade structures, amphitheater, bocce court, outdoor exercise equipment, and a lawn area.
Visit the park’s website for important announcements and more information about local events.
