Rhodes Park, also known as Rufus Rhodes Park, is one of the first neighborhood parks to be restored in Birmingham.
It was named after Rufus Napoleon Rhodes, the founder of what we know now as The Birmingham News.
You’ll find it at 28th Street South, along Highland Avenue. Dogs are welcome on-site, but they must be on a leash.
You also need to make sure you clean up after your dog. Bring poop bags and dispose of used ones in the waste bins around the park.
Pack your dog’s bowl and plenty of water as well.
Check out the park’s website for important announcements.
