There used to be a tobacco warehouse where Peace Park is located now.
When the warehouse burned down, its owner, the late John C. Latham, bequeathed the space to the city in 1909.
Today, this 1-acre park is an excellent destination if you’re looking for a place to relax or hang out with your family and friends.
You can play a few games on the life-sized chess board on-site or read a book under one of the trees at the park.
There are also park benches where you can sit and rest.
If you’re bringing your fur baby with you, make sure you keep him on a leash.
It’s also one of your responsibilities to clean up after your pet.
Throw away used poop bags in the proper bin, and make sure you keep an eye on your pet at all times.
You can also bring your fur baby to Hopkinsville Dog Park if you’re looking for an off-leash space where he can run and exercise unrestrained.
Parking is available on the park’s south side, just along 10th street. The park is also ADA accessible.
Visit the park website for important announcements.
