Willamalane Park is one of the district’s first parks. It features 14 acres of space and well-maintained amenities like basketball courts, tennis courts, and a skate park.
This Springfield park also has a beautiful open space with plenty of shade. In addition, there are trails you can explore, like Shana’s Trail and the Veterans Plaza.
You’ll also find an impressive hummingbird mural at the park, which commemorates the 75th anniversary of Willamalane’s service to Springfield.
Willamalane Park also has an indoor community pool and fitness facility called the Willamalane Park Swim Center.
Dogs are welcome at the park, but you have to keep them on a leash. You also need to clean up after them. Throw away used poop bags in designated waste bins.
Other amenities at this 14-acre park include a drinking fountain, horseshoe pits, an open play area, picnic tables, and a baseball field.
Parking is also available on-site. Visit the park’s website for important announcements.
