Those who have been to the Veterans Memorial Park in Moore, Oklahoma, say you really need to take the time to visit the park.
The park was known as JD Estates Park before it was renamed and constructed to honor America’s veterans and their families.
When you go to the park through the west entrance, you’ll find a granite obelisk with an inscription that talks about the sacrifices of veterans, civilians, and their families.
You’ll also find five black granite tablets featuring the seal of the five branches of service in the middle of the park.
Veterans Memorial Park also has a flag plaza that features a paved walking path and beautiful landscaping.
This 18-acre park is also well-lighted, which comes in handy if you ever wish to visit at night.
You should not miss a chance to see the Veterans Memorial Wall of Honor on-site.
Children will surely love the military-themed playground, too.
Restrooms and a pavilion are also available at the park.
